-Older photo I got around to editing, and I haven’t posted in awhile. (I still wonder if anyone reads this haha)

Anyway, semester is nearly over and I’m clinging on a hope that I can graduate, finally. If I do, I have no idea what the next step is or what foot I’ll be taking it with. If I don’t, I need to get my ass in gear and get it done.

Everyday this week I have thought about my future, and I honestly can’t see further into more than I can glance down this road in my photograph above. It’s a whole mixture of emotions in one and they consist of excitement, nervousness clustered in with confidence. I feel as if I’ve learned lessons all my own by staying up late nights and thinking about what all goes on in our world.

I mean, it is music, but YOLO, it’s nothing more than the truth and an acronym to reach out to us youths of today because really, no one knows what’s coming up that road that lies ahead of you; unless you’re using a GPS which is just cheating, the whole fun is getting lost in life.

PS - I don’t own a GPS.

What is it about a car that you actually develop a relationship with it? Is it the look, the power, the grip, or the feeling of cruising down the highway to your favorites jams?

Over the past couple days, I’ve help a friend fix his truck and snap some photos of the VW Cabrio above that he was lent by his girlfriend’s family. Driving around in an ultimate chick car made me realize that I’ve matured, automobile wise. I’ve grown away from it must be a bowtie on my key, instead it could be anything that I enjoy looking at, driving, etc. I mean I’m actually looking at subaru wagons, and of course plan on slamming it on it’s face when I get one if I do.

Then there is that love/hate relationship when your car happens to let you down. And it really does tear you apart to have your car be immobile. Fixing Olie’s truck was frustrating but awesome to get your hands in there and fix it and when the car cranks over and you drive it away, there is just a feeling of..fuck yeah. Hard to explain unless you’ve been there before, it just feels awesome.

I believe there is 3 levels of what a car means to you:

Like - you get in and go to where you need to go, just an a to b automobile.

Love - you feel attached to it and you enjoy driving it, it’s not just a car, it’s kinda like your friend, we even name the machines.

Then there is a passion for your car - someone who wants to customize to the way they want, wants to care for it with their own hands and it holds more sentimental value then just some sheetmetal thrown together.

There’s just something hidden in that steering wheel that when you grip it, you feel like it’s your own getaway, your personality on wheels, a part of who you are expressed through sheetmetal, paint and engine grease.

Olie and I went out for some very light trails, hit a couple puddles. Can’t wait to give the Blazer a proper lift and get into some bigger obstacles. Not bad for a $700 winter beater. It has a first car feel and that’s why I like to drive it so much, but it runs very well. It’ll look good with a mild lift and some meats under that chassis.

It’s now almost 3 in the morning as I type this with Drake’s new album slowly seeping into my ear drums and taking over my emotions. It’s early February and I’m losing my motivation with school…already. It’s awful and I know it is but I can’t help but think, wow, I’ve been going to college non stop since I graduated high school and I still don’t have a degree.

It’s burning me out, I find myself fading away from focusing on the work that screams for my attention but my mind throws it aside for car mods, photography tips and other dreams I have. Maybe I’m in the wrong place..and I mean school wise. Everything is fucking amazing. I have 2 jobs, steady income, a beautiful girlfriend, and friends that I can count on. So, maybe I need to move into something automotive, or photography or something that I find myself looking up for hours on end instead of focusing on schoolwork. I try to pay attention but feel like I can’t grasp onto the material that is being taught. I’m repeating calculus which is frustrating, and taking Spanish to finish my degree but according to Mercer’s website, I would be done with just calculus.

I’m 22 years old about to be 23 and have noooooooooooooooo idea where I want to go in life. They ask people, where do you see yourself in 5 years? Should start with asking; do you even know where you’ll be in a year?

I love the tracks Drake has, the beats are mellow, the raps are straight and solid and the words are heard well. Anyway, I think the non stop school has my mind racing and basically worn out. I want to move on, move out and on with my life and start the main leg. You know the one full of responsibilities that will try to frustrate me and test my hurdling skills, metaphorically of course, I’m still about half inch from dunking a basketball.

My motivation for money is through the roof, my motivation on improving myself is right there as well, my motivation to make my relationship with Raquel is creeping up behind them, this girl is special and makes me real happy. But my motivation for school is shit right now, maybe it’s just the half ass responses I get from the school. I’m going to sit here and hope these slow paces hip hop songs restore some calmness within me and I can somehow find that motivation again that has somehow against my mind.

I want it back, I want to move forward.

Went out to snap some more shots of Jon’s, Ian’s and myself’s rides at Mercer Park. Needless to say the shoot didn’t last too long due to frigid temperatures. Got some good shots, best ones pictures above.

-First we have the memorial for 09/11 which is placed right by the marina and it is very nicely done I must say, it’s crazy to touch a piece of the steel belonging to the buildings. Makes you really think about some things, old glory waving in the background to show we still remember the tragedy that happened that day.

-The next three are the best ones of our cars, made a few good presets in lightroom and seem to be rolling with them, also remembered to bring my filter this time to get the awesome clouds in the sky as well. I really enjoy getting out and shooting new photos and always feels good when the people with you want to go get more after each set.

I have much more to post and update on but for I’ll hold off for another night, goodnight all.

Soooooooo. I got stuck in my blazer hahaha. Moments before I went in Raquel said you shouldnt do that.

Needless to say I did. And now the mod list for the blazer has begun. It consists of: lift, tires, and rear locker.

After all those mods I want to plan a trip to rausch creek for some offroading fun. The green hornet will soldier on lol

Took this picture this morning waiting to start my shift at the weg. Been a good week and cant believe yesterday was christmas, hope everyone had an awesome holiday. Too finding out I’m getting more holiday pay then I expected to hopefully selling the 52 to reimbursement and seeing my girl tonight after work. :)

The sunrise was beautiful even if seeing it from the wegmans parking lot. With it being christmas and all, I feel really blessed with everything I have in my life and am really damn happy right now. 2011 is slowing coming to an end, it was a crazy one and with 2012 on the horizon, I have a good feeling about.

Can’t believe I never posted this picture, one of my faves.
And I believe I’ve decided to sell the 52 Chevy and lay this bitch out on the ground. Found the kit and stuff on the forum and going to try to pull this off. Blazer is getting fixed tomorrow so If I can get this the Colorado will be going under the knife.

In the other news, I may have a new place to live in the spring, still waiting on some things but we shall see. And and, I’ve been spending my time with this beautiful, hilarious girl I met at the Weg, thank you Wegmans! lol She is really awesome and get excited when I see her name and hear her voice, so everything is really good right now. And I can’t believe Christmas is next week! Holy balls this year flew by.

-Need to get more pics but realized I haven’t posted this one yet. My new endless project. My 52 Chevy Deluxe, I think I might hold onto this one for awhile.

I’m looking at a mustang II front suspension to get it closer to being able to bag it :) and then save up for my V8/LS swap, Yes!
If there is anything I learned from my blazer is take it slow and do it right the first time and don’t rush things because things will get messed up. So I’m ready to take this project as I can, first front suspension, then motor and drivetrain and then paint, could be a few years but I’m prepared.

This week is going to be a dousy. Lots of hours, and less sleep but I can’t wait until payday. Last night had a goodnight with a gorgeous girl and it felt really good, may have jumped the gun just a tad but got a good feeling. And in case you were wondering, I’m still on my Hollywood Undead kick, I can’t get enough! haha.

But yes, this is my new money pit and hope to have a nice cruiser when all the bolts are tightened and the wax is put on. Until then, I’ll get wrenching, taking pics and enjoying my life that recently has been really good. I know I don’t get to church too often, but I pray every night and thank god that I have everything I have in my life.

-Still recovering from World War III in NYC on Friday Night. Started with hauling ass down the NJTP enjoying some quality laughs and listening to the bands getting hyped for the show. We actually got there kind of early so we took advantage of it and walked around Times Square for a little bit, talking to homeless people in the pizza store, getting free candy and just chatting it up with people walking around, love New York, it’s so awesome.

And then…….Holy fucking shit, what an epic show. From walking in on DRUGS tearing it up, could tell that it was going to be fucking insane!! Then We Came As Romans came on and the energy level in that place was fucking unreal. They tore that place apart and I think about the 3rd song in, a huge ass mosh pit broke out right in front of us. So being the wall of the pit, during Intentions I decided to fucking jump in mix some shit up! I have never sang that loud for any band ever, these guys are no doubt my favorite band and I lost my voice about 30 seconds after they jumped on stage. I’m not sure which song it was, can’t recall, as I was jumping in the pit another kid was flying around doing his thing and his fist came down and nailed me right in the nose and mouth and actually knocked me back a couple feet haha. It was all good as he came up to me and apologized but I didn’t care, the show was too epic. It felt amazing to let out everything in I had in singing back to those songs. These guys are amazing hands down.

So, then Dorgone, I think his name was, fucking dubstep!! And that guy killed it, I busted out some west coast dubstep dancing in the crowd and he had the crowd going as well and then Asking Alexandria came on and kept the energy level up with walls of death, sitting on the ground, huge ass mosh pits and a fucking dude stage diving off a 20 foot balcony!!!!!! When they played dedication, not going to lie, it hit me a little, was really happy they played it and they rocked that shit as well, can’t wait to see em again!

And then……….fucking A!!! I was not expecting much from Hollywood Undead but holy fucking santa claus shit batman!! These guys came out playing the song in the video above, and as soon as the first “UNDEAD” hit that place went bonkers!! They were amazing and brought a brand new love for their music to me, they had it all and when they came back and played “Everywhere I go” my night was made, it was the cherry on top. Can’t wait until HU comes back to town, I will definitely be buying a ticket.

I live for these concerts, the ones I can scream my lungs out and leave it all on the floor and just go crazy. The emotion these guys come out with is baffling and the crowd gives it right back. My neck is still store for throwing it back and forth with the breakdowns, my shoulders hurt from the classic arm bob with the beats of undead and the dubstep, and my nose and mouth still hurt from getting tomahawked in the most pit! But I wouldn’t have traded it for anything, it was a fucking awesome concert and awesome night!!

-Top left: We have a lab building, that’s what Olie told me, but it’s a pretty badass building with crazy amounts of engineering involved that my brain can’t begin to comprehend but it does make for a very nice photo.

-Top right: I loved the idea of this photo and I snapped it real quick and couldn’t use my tripod to get a clear shot, so I turned on my camera real quick, cranked up the aperture while this girl, my unexpected impromptu model for the photo was there. I call it….Coming and Going, like I said loved the concept, and it’s a quick snap. It’s a little fuzzy but the b/w makes it a little better, eh what can I say, every picture you take can’t be perfect, but I enjoy it.

-Bottom: ahhhhhh this one warms my heart. That is my Samsung Galaxy phone leaning against my transmission crossmember of Shante. The phone is maybeeee, I don’t know 3.5” long. I quite enjoy that that thing hangs low everyday I drive it haha. I only scrape it few times on some speed bumps and some driveways but it’s all good, it’s the price you pay.

So yes, just more shots. I feel like I’m coming into a groove with my shots and my post processing which feels pretty good. As a matter fact, everything right now feels pretty good. Had a goodnight out with some cool peeps from The Weg, short for Wegmans, Wegmans just sounds dumb haha. Tomorrow night hitting the city with some people to see Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria, We Came As Romans, and others in World War III, I’m ready for my face to melt off with the double drum kicks and breakdowns and mosh pits from wall to wall. I can’t believe it’s almost fucking thanksgiving! This year is flying, like crazy!

So yeah, I might bring my camera to the city tomorrow to snaps some pics before and after the show, because well it’s NYC, the greatest city on the planet. Goodnight all. I hope you enjoyed my photos, and rambling.

Went out to Princeton tonight to walk around, explore and eat some banging cannolis and burritos. This town is so photogenic it’s insane, Took my tripod, camera and my best pal and had at it! Went into a couple buildings and snapped some but didn’t like how the focus came out.

First shot is the architecture building, ahhhh memories, but yes it was a very nice building, I’m a sucker for buildings with a lot of glasswork on the exterior. And black and white always brings out the elegance in the spaces.

Second, one of my favorite shots, It’s pretty much unedited and it’s a very simple shot. A bike just parked in front of the Frick Chemistry Building which is quite amazing in and out.

I have a few more I may post up at a later date but these two are my favorite out of the group.
